Participants – This section contains a link to the list of course participants, displaying a link to each enrolled user's profile.
Edit mode - This feature allows instructors to customize their course content and layout. When activated, it provides tools for adding, modifying, and organizing resources and activities. Instructors can easily drag and drop items, edit labels and descriptions, and configure settings for individual course components.
The screenshot below shows the Edit mode section when on the main course page, which allows for Course administration.
Activities – This section provides 4 links: Forums, Quizzes (shows all online Assessments/homework/tests/exams and their deadlines), Resources (shows all download links and other files on the course), and SCORM packages (shows all tutorial modules)
The Activities page will show when each assessment closes and also provide a link to the attempts (attempts explained later in document).
Search forums – Allows you to search the News forum for a word or phrase. Enter your search in the input box and then press Go. You may also do a more in depth search by using Advanced search.
Upcoming events/calendar - it's a feature that helps users keep track of important dates and deadlines within their courses. It provides a comprehensive view of events, such as assignment due dates, quiz schedules, and course activities. Users can also add personal events to their calendar. This feature ensures that students and instructors stay organized and informed about upcoming tasks and key dates, enhancing time management and planning.
Latest announcements – This feature displays the most recent updates and important messages from course instructors. This block is typically placed on the course homepage, ensuring that students stay informed about new assignments, changes in the schedule, or other crucial information. It helps keep communication streamlined and ensures that students do not miss out on any key announcements related to their course.
Recent activity – Lists any updated resources and activities, forum posts and assessment submissions, since the user last accessed the course
